Doric Products, a member of the Alchin Long Group, established a small design office in 1995 at its manufacturing facility in Sydney. The office developed innovative hardware for aluminium windows and doors. Over the years the design office become a major service provider to Doric's customers and eventually a design and development office for the whole group.

The office holds the largest number of patents and registered designs for any privately owned company in Australia.

With a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing, materials and a strong industrial design system, it was decided to 'carve it out' of the management services company and establish it as an independent company  Azuma Design.

Azuma Design offers the following marketing and design services;

- Computer aided product analysis
- Testing to Australian and international standards
- Point of sales desig
- Exhibition design

Azuma Design has ISO9000  2000 and JANZ accreditation.

Azuma Design test facilities have third party accreditation of test equipment and procedures as well as ISO 9000-2000 accreditation.
